Hear intelligently with attention and interest, comprehend and obey, O Yisra'el, יהוה our 'Elohiym is יהוה alone!
–Dabariym [deuteronomy] 6:4 His Name Tanakh**
Nimrowd: The Mighty Hunter!
What most biblical dictionaries and encyclopedias do not tell people is the fact that Hebrew and other area semetic languages came from the same base root language, which יהוה gave to Adam and his progeny down through Noach. After the flood Noach's three sons ventured off to other areas. As they reproduced they created clans & sub-clans who also ventured to other areas. This process came to pass well over a three-thousand year period. As all these different groups spread-out across the land, they came across new items (animals, plants, etc.) and added words. Different groups shortened words in local colloquialisms. Some kept words that others dropped entirely and vice-versa. Hence, when the sons of יהוה followed Mosheh to the promised land, they met different peoples who spoke similarly (This is, of course the 'nutshell' version)!
An additional note for thought: many modern linguists are now concluding what the scriptures have shown all along, that all earth's languages derive from a single ancient source. While they do not claim it is Hebrew, they say it is Semitic. Remember 'Abram came from 'Uwr & they spoke a Semitic language. He traveled to Kena'an (Canaan) and they spoke a Semitic language. During Abram's time he traveled several times to Mitsrayim (egypt) and was able to converse with them as well.
In ancient Hebrew 'EL' meant: strength and its emphatic meant: mighty and/or mighty one. The Kena'aniy (Canaanites) worshipped 'EL' as the father of Ba'al. 'El' was short for 'EL-BAR" meaning "god the son" and his son was Ba'al meaning 'lord'. Now, you will need to spend many hours studying many sources, but in a nutshell: Nimrowd subjugated many peoples by violence ("a mighty hunter..." refers to ruler ship, not deer hunting). He founded Babel (Babylon) and started a 'state' religion. The 'tower of Babel' was a Ziggurat (not a round staircase trying to literally reach into the clouds - how ludicrous is that?) temple used to pull people from the worship of יהוה. There is some evidence that he (Nimrowd) was executed for his apostasy by Shem, son of Noach. Nimrowd's wife Semiramis made him a god after his death, by claiming her son (from Nimrowd's brother) was Nimrowd reborn as Ba'al. Other deities were added both in Babel and the other lands the people were scattered to over several millennia.
After what you have read so far, ask yourself why would the King of kings want to be called god or lord which began (albeit in another language) as human titles for human made idols and religions? Why would He accept being called by the title of The Name (השׁם Hashem) when He, Himself, has told us to call on His Name? Have you ever stumbled across even one single, solitary scripture admonishing Man to call Him by a title of any kind? We are commanded to call Him by His Name; god and lord are used as replacements for His Name. We are not even commanded to call Him Abba (which means Father in 'Ibriy [Hebrew]). Does that shock you? There are (roughly) over 1,500 verses using abba (father) in the Tanakh (and Towrah) and not one commands us to call Him Father! Not one!
The Jews have admitted to "protecting" His name over 6,800 times in the Tanakh (the erroneously re-named 'old testament') by adding vowel points which cause the reader to say various other words instead, 'Adoniy being the most prominent, by far. The Jews did so out of reverence for the name of our 'Elohiym, and while I, obviously, disagree with this position, they did leave vowel marks in the Tanakh to show the learned reader the difference and leaving His Qodesh Name intact. The western Greco-Roman cult of xtianity followed suit. but the xtian did so with the full premeditated and complicit intent of hiding the truth concerning יהוה's Name. Insidious!
These replacements or substitutions are used inter-changeably, in one place lord could be used as His name and god used as His title or description and in another verse god becomes His name and lord His title or description. This intentional mistranslation is not even consistent! Worse yet is the penchant of the xtians and, more insidiously, the messie-anity brother-movement to blame the Yehuwdiym (Jews) for an action that is, effectively a Greco-Roman crime against Qodesh יהוה.
Small wonder that 'Tower of Babel' means: Strong's Concordance |H#4026| - migdal (from H#1431) a tower; by anal. a rostrum (countenance, projection, vanguard, effrontery) and 894 - babel (from 1101) confusion; Babel (i.e. Babylon), including Babylonia and the Bab. empire...tower of confusion, countenance [face] of confusion, projection of confusion, vanguard of confusion, effrontery of confusion, etc.
Bere'shiyth [genesis] 10:8 - 10: And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the land. And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the land. He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; so it is said, "Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah." And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.” And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. - The New King James Version, (Nashville, TN: Thomas Nelson Publishers) 1998, c1982.
With Strong's Concordance numbers: |3568| And Cush |3205| fathered |0853| - |5248| Nimrowd. |1931| He |2490| began |1961| to be |1368| a hero |0776| in the land. |1931| He |1961| was |1368| a great |6718| hunter |6440| in the presence of |3068| יהוה. |5921| Upon |3651| thus |0559| it is said: |5248| "Even as Nimrowd |1368| the great |6718| hunter |6440| in the presence of |3068| יהוה." |1961| And was |7225| the beginning of |4467| his kingdom |0894| Babel, |0751| and Erech, |0390| and Accad, |3641| and Calneh, |0776| in the land of |8152| Shinar.
v.8: |3568| - Kuwsh; |3205| - to beget; |0853| - [no English relation basic meaning: a person or being]; |5248| - Nimrowd, |1931| - he, she, it, self; |2490| - to bore, to wound, to dissolve; to profane , to break one's word, to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); |1961| - be, become, come to pass; |1368| - powerful, warrior, tyrant; |0776| - the earth (wide and local).
v.9: |1931| - he, she, it, self; |1961| - be, become, come to pass; |1368| - powerful, warrior, tyrant; |6718| same as | 6679| - to chase, to lie alongside, to catch man or animal; |6440| from |6437| - to turn, appear, look, to face, the face; |3068| - יהוה; |5921| - above, over, upon, against; |3651| - hence, rightly so; |0559| - to say; |5248| - Nimrowd; |1368| - powerful, warrior, tyrant; |6718| same as | 6679| - to chase, to lie alongside (to assault), to catch man or animal; |6440| from |6437| - to turn, appear, look, to face, the face; |3068| - יהוה.
v.10: |1961| - be, become, come to pass; |7225| - the first, in place, time, order, or rank; |4467| - dominion, the estate, the country; |0894| - Babel; |0751| - 'Erek; |0390| - 'Akkad; |3641| - Kalneh; |0776| - the earth (wide and local); |8152| - Shin'ar.
In one paragraph:
Kuwsh begat the being Nimrowd and he to break one's word (against יהוה) to dissolve (the true faith) and profane it by opening a wedge (between יהוה and Man), began to be and become and come to pass a powerful warrior tyrant on the earth, near and far. He to be and become and come to pass a powerful warrior tyrant to chase, to lie alongside (to assault), to catch man or animal (to rule) to turn and look and appear (as) at יהוה (as an equal) above, over, upon, against (Him) hence and rightly so it is to say that Nimrowd the powerful warrior tyrant chased and assaulted men (and prob. hunted animals, too) to turn and look and appear (as) at יהוה (as an equal) (So he could) be and become and come to pass the first, in place, time, order, or rank to have dominion over estates and countries (he founded) Babel, 'Erek, 'Akkad and Kalneh in the nation of Shin'ar.
In a more concise paragraph:
Kuwsh begat the being Nimrod, a liar who dissolved and profaned the Faith of יהוה, opening a wedge/gulf between יהוה and mankind. He became a powerful warrior tyrant who subjugated men to rule over them. He began to see himself as יהוה's equal and set himself above and against יהוה. Therefor it is right to say that Nimrowd, the powerful ruler tyrant, chased and hunted men in order to rule as יהוה's equal. In order to be the first and highest ranking ruler before men, to have dominion over the earth and the people of the earth, he founded Babel, 'Erek, 'Akkad and Kalneh in the nation of Shin'ar!
From His Name Tanakh© 2011 Hear O Yisra'el:
8. Kuwsh fathered the being Nimrowd and he begen to break one's word (against יהוה) to dissolve (the true faith) and profane it by opening a wedge (between יהוה and Man), (He) began to be and become and come to pass in existence a powerful warrior tyrant on the earth, near and far.
9. He came to pass and became in existence a powerful warrior tyrant to chase, to lie alongside (to assault), to catch man or animal (to rule) to turn and look and appear (as) at יהוה (as an equal) above, over, upon, against (Him) hence and rightly so it is to say that Nimrowd the powerful warrior tyrant chased and assaulted men to turn and look and appear (as) at יהוה (as an equal).
10. It came to pass and became first that his dominion over estates and countries were: Babel, 'Erek, 'Akkad and Kalneh in the nation of Shin'ar.
11. Out of the land he [Nimrowd] went out into 'Ashshuwr and built Niyneveh, Rech'obowth, Kelach,
12. And Reçen, which is between Niyneveh and Kelach; the great city.
A gazelle hunting leader in the mis-translated verses and a murdering tyrant in the language dictionary backed version– quite a difference!
Add to this a lot of studying at the library about ancient religions and their relationship to Babel and how christianity and its holidays (none of man's holidays are scripturally supported), traditions, and teachings match the pagan religions and rituals, and you should be developing the suspicion that all is not kosher (either literally or figuratively).
