–Josef Rudolf Mengele (March 16, 1911 – 1979).
Known as the Angel of Death (German: Todesengel) Mengele and his staff at Auschwitz performed psychological, medical and sexual experiments on more than 3,000 children (more than 1,500 sets of twins). Experiments did not end with the death of the twins. The corpses of the twins were dissected for final medical analysis. Of the more than 3,000 children involved, only about 200 survived.
Mengele performed both physical and psychological experiments, experimental surgeries performed without anesthesia, transfusions of blood from one twin to another, isolation endurance, reaction to various stimuli.
